Narrative
CARLIN, NV – A 34-year-old man died Wednesday after a single-vehicle accident along the interstate in southwestern Elko County.
The accident happened just before 2:15 p.m. on I-80 at mile marker 279 in the city of Carlin. This about 129 miles west of the state border with Utah.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of an eastbound 2014 Toyota Highlander left the roadway, crashed, and rolled. The force of the crash threw the driver from the vehicle, and he died at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as Dennis Kunz.
