Narrative
BEATTY, NV – A fiery crash on US-95 near Beatty claimed the lives of five people and a dog last Friday, July 21st.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol responded to the incident at the area of US 95 and mile marker 52 Nye, located south of Beatty, around 1:43 p.m.
Investigators say a Subaru SUV was traveling south when it veered into the northbound lane to overtake another vehicle and slammed head-on into a Buick SUV.
The Subaru was occupied by one adult driver and two juvenile passengers, while the Buick had two adult occupants and one dog. All five victims and the dog were pronounced dead at the scene.
