Narrative
LAS VEGAS, NV – A bicyclist was fatally struck by an SUV in the northwest valley on Monday night.
The incident occurred at around 8:50 p.m. near the intersection of West Cheyenne Avenue and North Hualapai Way. The bicyclist, a 22-year-old man riding south, was hit by a westbound 2016 Ford Explorer on Cheyenne.
The cyclist was transported to the University Medical Center trauma center, where he was pronounced dead.
The police confirmed that the 39-year-old female driver of the Ford was not suspected of being impaired. It is unclear whether she will be cited or charged for the incident.
