RENO, NV – A pedestrian died on Friday night after a vehicle struck them at a busy intersection near the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino in Reno.
The incident happened sometime before 6:37 p.m. near the intersection of Wrondel Way and Hubbard Way which is northwest of Yori Park.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim. They say the vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene.
Officials closed roads in the vicinity of the crash for multiple hours while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
